Stephanie Lear Henderson is a painter living in Atlanta, Georgia.  Stephanie’s work focuses on bold, beautiful color and how colors speak to each other and affect the observer.  Her paintings contain forms that are quite simple, allowing the colors to express themselves without complications.For Stephanie, painting has never been about putting her own feelings on the canvas, but about allowing color to flow through her and be released unfettered.

Before becoming a professional painter, Stephanie worked in public relations, writing and editing, then as a full-time mom for more about 15 years. As her three children entered their teens and she found extended periods of time to work in her studio, she happily and gratefully she found her calling as a painter. A native of Thomasville, Georgia, Stephanie earned a B.A. from the University of Virginia and an M.A. from the University of Georgia.
