Being from Central America, many of those cultural influences naturally find their way into my aesthetic and appreciation for design—whether it’s the textiles, the vibrant colors, the strong sense of family, or, of course, the food.

Equally important—perhaps even more so—is the influence of Africa. Its rich and beautiful cultures, dramatic imagery, textiles, and wildlife... truly, everything about it inspires me deeply.

If I were to make a quick list of the places that shape me, I’d have to include Texas, Florida, New York, and California—all places I’ve called home at different points in my life. To break that down further: East Texas—the countryside; West Texas—Marfa; Palm Beach and Miami in Florida; New York City, Brooklyn, and Upstate New York; Los Angeles and Northern California, especially Tahoe. These places influence my daily perspective and creativity.

Spain has also been a consistent reference point throughout my life, offering a deep well of inspiration. And then there’s the Bahamas, with the most stunning shades of blue and some of the kindest, most joyful people I’ve ever encountered.

Honestly, I could go on and on. I feel incredibly grateful for the diverse places and cultures that have shaped my worldview and continue to inspire me every day.
